Syd doesn’t get Easter egg hunts. We could hide eggs and pull out the camera and wait, but she would probably just find a cozy spot and curl up to sleep. When Kim contacted me to see if I could do an Easter Egg photo shoot, I was thrilled. It wasn’t going to work for Easter morning because hubby was finally coming home, so we decided to create our own Easter egg hunt. Since we were the only ones participating, it also meant we could time it for just before sunset. The kids wouldn’t know the difference and it would give them a chance to practice for the following weekend! I’m so glad we got a chance to take these, because Easter egg photos are much more blog-worthy than another picture of Syd sleeping.
You can’t go wrong with blonde pigtails and monogrammed baskets, which made it very difficult to choose my favorite shots from the wee little Webers’ Easter egg photo shoot. One thing I will remember for next year is that red jelly beans are a terrible idea. Just terrible. So here are a few of my favorite shots where these little beauties don’t look like they are bleeding from the mouth.
Wesley loves flowers, and his mama is the queen of hashtags. I laughed out loud the first time I saw her use the hashtag #fatwesley. I laughed harder when I saw #fatwesleyandhisflowers.
I want to say she probably has hundreds of pictures of this little man completely captivated by flowers… and this photo shoot could have added about a dozen more to her collection. “Ooh egg. Ooooooooohhhh right next to this beautiful flower. I should pick it. I should stare at it. I should just keep staring. I wonder if I can eat it?”
His future wife is a lucky lady! He’s going to be picking her flowers forever.
In 2013, I quit my job and bought a one-way ticket to Thailand. After four months of backpacking I returned to the States and fell in love with a guy whose job sent us straight back to Asia. Nothing has gone according to plan... and it's been absolutely magical.
